Promising Futures Capacity Building Center, a project of Futures Without Violence, provides support on enhancing services for parent and child survivors impacted by domestic and family violence. Promising Futures seeks to build the capacity of change agents working in the DV and child serving landscape to innovate, center lived expertise, prioritize community know-how and rely on the latest science to transform program and policy design; enable principles focused, trauma informed and equity driven evidence building and storytelling; foster and sustain a network of diverse leaders engaging in equity-focused policy, systems reform and community driven solutions to prevent and respond to violence; and create and disseminate accessible knowledge that stimulates innovations as well as continuous quality practice and policy improvement. Promising Futures offers TA and training to the field, develops new resources and tools, and works to build the evidence for trauma-informed and culturally relevant practices for children, youth and their parents. Promising Futures is also the national technical assistance provider for the Specialized Services for Abused Parents and their Children (SSAPC) grantee program.
