Peer-to Peer Sharing on Domestic Violence Shelter Programs in Indian Country

September 25 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm PDT

There are fewer than 50 tribal domestic violence shelters in this country. In responding to this need, we invite all Tribal FVPSA Grantees to join us for an upcoming peer-to-peer webinar focused on strengthening shelter and related services. Together we will learn how to develop survivor centered intakes and low-barrier policies and procedures and why this is vital to our work. This webinar will highlight the Strong Hearted Native Women’s Coalition and explore their strengths based program model, in building shelter services, identifying funding opportunities and program expansion. Following a brief presentation, there will be an open and interactive Q&A session, a time for sharing and peer-to-peer exchange with other tribal domestic violence programs.
